Estimate a scenario before investing

Savings are theoretical, not guaranteed. Freed time does not automatically become a cash saving.

Your assumptions

For net benefit and ROI, enter both costs; enter 0 when a cost is zero. A blank means unknown. No values are sent or stored.

Assumptions and limitations

  • 52 weeks per year: adjust weekly hours for holidays and changes in workload.
  • Time must actually be recoverable, without double counting across employees.
  • Adoption, oversight and exceptions may reduce the benefit.
  • Include relevant training, licensing and indirect costs. Tax, discounting and financing are not modelled.

Annual hours = employees × weekly hours × 52. Net benefit = gross savings − initial cost − 12 × maintenance. ROI = net benefit ÷ total cost × 100, when that cost is positive.
